Top 10 Ways to Make Oracle E-Business Great Again
Mark Vivian, Claremont
For many organisations, Oracle E-Business is the backbone of their Finance, Human Resource, Asset Management and Supply Chain operations. However, with most of the focus in the industry on selling new Cloud products, there’s a danger that the needs of this install base are being overlooked. With Oracle committed to the development of Oracle E-Business, having announced a future release and a support horizon that now stretches out until at least 2030, the death knells sounded by some seem a little premature; there is plenty of life in Oracle E-Business yet. Given that Oracle E-Business was formally launched in 2001, many businesses using it today implemented the software some time ago. Working with customers over many years, we have often seen how these systems themselves have become neglected: The strategic objectives of the business evolve, features in new releases of the product aren’t adopted after upgrades, and trained users leave. The factors and more can mean that the system doesn’t isn’t in line with the business, isn’t used properly anymore and is no longer delivering the value it once was. Organisations make a significant investment in buying and implementing Oracle E-Business. Rather than throw this away, and make more significant investment in new software, there is an alternative. Drawing on some real-life customer case studies, this presentation will explore ten ways that Oracle E-Business users can breathe new life into their systems to get even more value out of their existing investment in Oracle technology. This will range from topics such as how your system is platformed, complementary products, optimisation activities and much more. Delegates attending this presentation will learn how to make Oracle E-Business great again!
