Data for many is the most valuable resource within your company, but understanding how you can utilise this to identify and predict Fraud can be an unenviable challenge. In this presentation, we will demonstrate how Vertice utilise Oracle Cloud and open source technologies such as R and Python to complement Oracle technology to enable a whole new pallet of skills to drive insight from data. Using different options available such as Oracle Advanced Analytics (OAA) and Oracle Analytical Could (OAC) to communicate to a wide range of users to enable fraud detection and prevention within a business. Taking you on practical example that will enable the audience to follow the data story and yield the value from your data resource.

Speaker Biography

Dr. Abi Giles-Haigh is the Chief Data Science Office at Vertice. She has over 10 years’ experience working with data from database management, report writing and advanced analytics. Previously she lead the Data Analytics Team at the NHSBSA identifying savings and improving patient care. She is an Oracle Ace Associate, UKOUG Technical Speaker of the Year 2016, as well as a Nominated Digital Leader 100. Abi is a technical evangelist in the field of predictive analytics and data mining. She holds a PhD in Computational Modelling and a Bachelor of Science in Computing Science, from Newcastle University.
